Tenacity

A coach helps you reach your goals.

“Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touchdown.”
–Ross Perot

Our lives are a series of peaks and valleys. When mired in the immensity of a challenge, it can be hard to see the goal in sight. At times like these, we are tempted to quit at the last minute of the game, one foot from the goal line. Most things worth doing require work, making tenacity a necessary ingredient for success.

The reason sports teams have coaches is because a coach stands outside of the action, on the side of the field or court. From this vantage point, they can see their players’ progress and give objective counsel. Seeking a coach or mentor in your life helps you get an outside perspective. Never pass up the opportunity to get the counsel from someone who knows the game and can give you advice based on their observations.
